January Lessons

January is a month when you can never be certain of Mother Nature.  She can be just as likely to blow in a crippling snow storm which necessitates cancelling a meeting.  To eliminate the risk of having to cancel a guest speaker, guilds often plan in-house presentations in the undependable winter months.  Our program gals set up four teaching stations and the members went from station to station learning some interesting techniques.

Station 1 - Faux Piped Binding

Station 2 - 3-Dimensional Poinsettia

Station 3 - Machine Quilting

Station 4 - Keeping Your Blocks Square and the Proper Size
COMING UP:
Monday Jan. 26 - Scrappy Club will meet.  Contact Sue Rummerfield for info on joining this group.
Wednesday Jan. 28 - extra UFO day, 9:30 - 5:00.  Bring $5 to pay the rent, and bring your own project to work on.
Wednesday Feb. 11 - Our February meeting when Ila Swayze will be talking to us about quilt judging.  A few of us lovingly refer to her as "1-800-call-Ila".
  • Anyone who wants to sew during the day (9:30 - 5-ish) bring your stuff and $5 for rent.
  • The Church Ladies will feed us at 6 pm (you must register for dinner.  We don't have the loaves and the fishes happening, even though this is a church)
  • Our actual meeting starts at 7 pm for everyone.
