April Guild Meeting

Sewing with friends during the day is such a nice break.

Christine is working on a laptop cover.

Charlotte is working on her sample for tonight's Block of the Month. It looks like it might be applique. Ya think???

Bernadette's daughter Audrey joined us today. She was very kind when I teased her about being 'fresh meat'.

Lois is working on the quilt we're making for the Agricultural Fair Board. This quilt does not want to be made. It should be really easy to hand quilt - there are so many needle holes in it already from unsewing.

Here are the prizes for tonight's draw tickets. Lydia made the little Easter pincushions. How crafty is that gal?

SOME OF THE SHOW 'N SHARE

Here is an applique piece by Charlotte. You can see why she's doing the machine applique lesson tonight.

Monica's Snowman quilt. OK, we've had quite ENOUGH of winter, thankyou!

Yaaay, more placemats for Meals on Wheels.

And Bernadette's donation to the Quilts of Valour program. Thank you!

Charlotte was instructing on Machine Applique techniques.

April 8th meeting

Charlotte and Lydia are doing the program in April and will be demonstrating machine appliqué and hand appliqué.
YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE MEETING:
• Thread, a needle to sew with and scissors. They will have little kits for everyone.
• Also for those who want to do machine appliqué - bring your machine or leave it set up after sew day.

CHARITY PROJECT IN PROGRESS – “The Log Cabin with Stars Quilt”
For those who can help, we will be sewing the frames & stars around the blocks during the day.

Items left over from the March meeting: only the ironing board is still not claimed. I will bring it to sewing day and hopefully the owner will collect it.
