Pics from April & Upcoming May Meeting

The guest speaker was Michelle from Kallisti Quilts.  She brought a ton of fabric for sale and did a lovely trunk show, two versions of each quilt (which was very interesting to see).

These are the quilts the gals have made from the Block of the Month program this year.  Wow, beautiful work!

Here are a couple of quilts from Show 'n Share:

WHAT'S HAPPENING ON WEDNESDAY MAY 11TH

Our member Dineke will be presenting a trunk show for us.  7 pm at Grace United Church.

March Meeting pics

This was fun to see...two completed Block Of The Month quilts, and some of the center blocks the gals have been working on.

A few more Show 'N Shares:

The Program was a rousing game of Left Right Center, using fat quarters to ante in.  Some of the gals went home with more fabric than they came in with. 😍

Meeting info for Wed. March 9th

We will meet at our usual location, Grace United Church at 7 pm.

Program for this month has been a bit of an issue due to a last minute covid cancellation.

Since we have been trying to decide on short notice what to do for program we will play the fat quarter game. Please bring 3 fat quarters and if interested we are also going to do a grab bag if you bring a bag you take a bag. If interested bring 1 fat quarter in a bag.

Feb 9 Meeting

We will have an in-person meeting!

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF VENUE

St. Paul's Anglican Church, 27 Orkney St. E., Caledonia @ 7 pm.

No January Meeting. Stay home. Stay.

It'll be another month at least before we can have a meeting.

If you want something to do in the meantime, here's a pattern that was shared by one of our members.  The pattern calls for a layer cake, but you could re-jig it for charm squares.

Next Meeting December 8th

Here are a few pics from show 'n share at our November meeting.

The guest speaker at that meeting was Amanda Brown from Fabric Heart.  Fun gal with a great sense of humour, she provided and trunk show as well as an overhead show.

Temperature quilts are traditionally based on the outdoor thermometer.  Hers is based on her emotional temp during Covid. 😄

At our December meeting Sam Croucher will be demonstrating Ribbon Quilts.  There will be NO POT LUCK this year due to Covid restrictions.  Seating is 6 feet apart, with proof of double vax required for entry.

We have returned to Grace United Church and the meeting will start at 7 pm.  See you there!

October pics & November Guest Speaker

Here's a small selection of the quilts made by our talented members.

On November 10 we'll be hosting Amanda Brown from My Fabric Heart, who will be talking about modern quilts.  You can follow her on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/myfabricheart/

As far as I know, the meeting details will be the same as October - to be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church.
