ON HOLD DUE TO COVID

Sadly, we will not be starting our new season at this time.  Currently we are waiting until late fall/early winter to see what happens with the infection rates.  Stay tuned, and in the interim keep quilting.

March Party

Our March party to celebrate National Quilting Day saw us enjoying cake & games.  Due to some member absences, I was again conscripted to help out, so the only pics I got were from the game of "Left Right Center" that we played.  Gambling for 2 1/2" strips.  Hah, fun!

Because the Universe has decided to bring us a Pandemic, all of our meetings have been temporarily halted.  Stay tuned for further news as it becomes available.

In the meantime, wash your hands and continue to hole up in your basement finishing your UFOs.

February's Valentine's Meeting & March 11 info

We had three teaching stations set up for the February meeting, because you can never depend on the weather.  I only got one pic of them because I was pressed into use to LEAD one of the stations due to a member absence.

Colleen looks so darned cute in her Valentines jacket.
MARCH 11 @ 7 pm
We will be celebrating National Quilting Day by throwing a quilty party.  Come prepared to have some fun!

  • bring 3 x 2-1/2" strips of fabric, quilting cotton (which should be about 42" wide - so your strips will each be 2-1/2" x 42").  These can be the same fabric or different fabric, it doesn't matter.

Donation Quilt, January's Trunk Show & February Meeting Next Week

Sadly, as happens in every organization, one of our members passed away much too soon.  She had bequeathed her fabrics to the guild, so we spent much time sorting, separating, selling, and saving.  One of the first batches that was outsorted for guild use was a collection of purples & greens.  This was sewed up by one of our members as the sample blocks for our Block of the Month program.  She then assembled the blocks into a quilt which we've donated to the Caledonia Agricultural Society for their fundraising purposes.

The January Member Challenge was to make a name tag.  Good job ladies!

Our speaker in January was Bernadette Forbes, who treated us to a wonderful trunk show of her work.

FEBRUARY PROGRAM
Wednesday Feb. 12th, 7 pm
We will have teaching stations set up so you can learn some new techniques.

December Events & January info

The most exciting thing that happened was our visit from Mrs. Claus.

She was instructed to keep us in line during our pot luck supper.

And then she made sure we voted fairly, and only once, for our favorite challenge project.

Afterwards we started on our holiday craft activity.

What the heck???...

OK, getting a little closer.  It just needs a button and a hanging string.

If you'd like to see some that were properly made you'll have to go to Pinterest. 😁

JANUARY 8, 2020

Meeting starts at 7 pm.  Bring your coffee mug, your show 'n share, any library books that are due back, and your baggie of charm squares (if you're in the swap group).
The program will be a trunk show by Bernadette Forbes.
